Guest Bio:

Prof. Dr. TONG Jiadong is currently a chair professor (academician professor) of Nankai University and a doctoral supervisor. His main research fields are international trade theory and policy, digital economy and digital trade. He is the deputy director of the International Business Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, and has been selected as a special professor of the Ministry of Education's National Major Talent Project and a famous member of the National Ten Thousand People Plan; he has published more than 100 papers in Economic Research, Journal of International Economics and other journals. He has also published textbooks such as “International Economics” and “International Trade Theory and Policy”. He led the establishment of the undergraduate program, master's degree program and doctoral degree program of International Trade in Nankai University. He served as the head of the Department of International Economics and Trade of Nankai University, the vice dean of the School of Economics of Nankai University, the dean of the Graduate School of Nankai University, and the vice president of Nankai University. He was interned in the headquarters of the European Union in Belgium in 1987-1988, and studied in the University of York in Canada in 1992-1993, and in the University of North Carolina in the USA in 1998-1999. In 1999, he was a Fulbright Senior Visiting Scholar at the University of North Carolina, USA.
