Synopsis: Entrepreneurs often need to obtain external financing support in the early stages of their business to help them establish a competitive advantage in the early stages of their business. This study focuses on how entrepreneurs' market-related human capital can help entrepreneurs obtain early-stage financing support and under what circumstances these human capitals can better fulfill their roles.

Guest bio: Dr. WANG Xinchun is a tenured associate professor in the Department of Marketing at the John Chambers School of Business at West Virginia University. He also serves as the coordinator of the Marketing Track DBA program. His research interests focus on corporate innovation, the interaction of entrepreneurship and marketing, and international marketing. According to The Marketing Big 15 (MKT BIG 15) 2023, Associate Prof. WANG Xinchun is ranked among the world's top 15 in terms of publication statistics in 15 leading academic marketing journals.
