On May 17th, the "2025 ECUST Industry-Academia-Research Integration and Innovation Development Forum" came to a successful close in Shanghai. The event was hosted by the School of Business at East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST), organized by the ECUST Fluid Intelligence Control Industry-Academia-Research Joint Innovation Center, and co-hosted by Puliomer Intelligent Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. Focusing on technology as the core link, the forum gathered university scholars, corporate leaders, and industry experts. It aimed to promote the implementation of industry-academia-research-application projects in the fields of new energy, fluid products, and intelligent equipment, accelerate the transformation of high-tech achievements, and jointly outline a bright future for the deep integration of industry, academia, and research.

In his opening remarks, Prof. Lou Gaoxiang, Deputy Dean of the School of Business, acknowledged the bridging role of alumni organizations in industry-academia-research collaboration and called for deepening university-enterprise cooperation to promote the transformation of innovative achievements. Liu Kai Zhen, Director of International Cooperation of the ECUST Research Institute and Executive Dean of Shenzhen Research Institute, systematically introduced the top-level design of ECUST's industry-academia-research layout, laying a strategic foundation for subsequent exchanges.

During the technology achievement sharing session, Yao Tianyu, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Hydrogen Science and Technology Research Association, and the team from the Hydrogen Science Center of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, deeply analyzed the key path of hydrogen energy technology from research and development to commercialization, injecting forward-looking thinking into the new energy industry. Puliomer Intelligent Technology, with the theme of "Application of Fluid Technology in the Development of New Valves," showcased in-depth exploration and innovative breakthroughs in technology research and development, elaborating on how enterprises solve energy efficiency and reliability problems in industrial scenarios. Its rigorous technical logic and implementability resonated strongly with the participants.

The core of industry-academia-research cooperation lies in the in-depth integration of resources. During the forum, Puliomer Intelligent Technology signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the ECUST Fluid Intelligence Control Industry-Academia-Research Joint Innovation Center. The two parties will focus on the field of energy equipment and intelligent fluid control to jointly develop technical solutions suitable for high-end manufacturing and hydrogen energy equipment industries.

The forum broadened the boundaries of technological application through cross-field dialogue. Huang Ying from the National Intellectual Property Operation (Shanghai) International Service Platform, from a professional perspective, proposed a "technology + capital" dual-driven model, emphasizing the bridging role of intellectual property in industry-academia-research projects and providing commercialization path references for university-enterprise cooperation. Yang Lixin, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai International Shipping Center, starting from the urgent need for green technology in the international shipping industry, called for joint university-enterprise efforts to tackle low-carbon solutions. Prof. Peng Yigong from the ECUST School of Information Science and Technology, from the perspective of intelligent information technology, explained how digitalization provides underlying support for industry-academia-research projects.

Wu Weiwei, Director of the Shanghai Yangtze River Delta Medical Device Industry Development Promotion Association, analyzed the innovation needs of the medical device industry, pointing the way for the application of fluid technology in the field of precision medicine. Huang Guifen, Secretary-General of the ECUST Zhejiang Alumni Association, introduced the situation of the alumni association's venture capital competition and encouraged everyone to participate more in the competition to obtain multi-party support such as funds and technology. Wang Xiangfeng, head of the ECUST Fluid Intelligence Control Industry-Academia-Research Joint Innovation Center, detailed the center's development from aspects such as content, advantages, and typical cases, as well as project development and cooperation methods.

The forum specially set up a special networking session, where all parties had in-depth discussions on topics such as the construction of the Yangtze River Delta industry-academia-research platform, major project cooperation, hydrogen energy industry cooperation, shipping industry-academia-research, medical device industry industry-academia-research, optical applications, and subsequent action plans. Experts such as Meng Xianghai, Director of the Asset Management Department of Shanghai Micro Technology Industrial Research Institute, and Xu Yeye, the person in charge of the protection of scientific and technological achievements of the Science and Technology Industry Department of the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, actively participated and made suggestions for industry development. These special topic discussions not only pointed the way for subsequent actions but also provided more precise cooperation opportunities for all parties involved in industry, academia, and research, and improved the ecological system of the integration and development of industry-academia-research-application.
