The 13th Operations and Supply Chain Management Workshop is Successfully Held

On July 3rd, 2025, the 13th Operations and Supply Chain Management Workshop of East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) was successfully held in Room 413 of the School of Business. Professor FAN Tijun, Dean of the School of Business, together with some faculty members from the Department of Management Science and Engineering and the Operations and Supply Chain Research Center, as well as doctoral and master's students, participated in this workshop. The workshop invited Professor J. George Shanthikumar and Professor FENG Qi from Purdue University, Professor JIANG Baojun from Washington University in St. Louis, Professor JI Yonghua from the University of Alberta, Professor WEN Xin, Professor XIAO Guang and Professor Sai-Ho Chung from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Professor ZHU Yi from the University of Minnesota, Professor CHAN Hing Kai from Wenzhou-Kean University, and Dr. HU Junming from the School of Business, ECUST, to deliver wonderful reports. In-depth theoretical discussions and exchanges were conducted around the field of operations and supply chain management. The workshop also attracted faculty members from universities such as Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.


At the beginning of the workshop, Professor FAN Tijun first introduced the development of the Management Science and Engineering discipline of the School of Business and extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests. Subsequently, in the first half of the workshop, Professor JIANG Baojun from Washington University in St. Louis, Professor JI Yonghua from the University of Alberta, Professor FENG Qi from Purdue University, and Professor ZHU Yi from the University of Minnesota successively presented their research papers.

In the second half of the workshop, Professor WEN Xin, Professor XIAO Guang, Professor Sai-Ho Chung from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Professor CHAN Hing Kai from Wenzhou-Kean University, Professor J. George Shanthikumar from Purdue University, and Dr. HU Junming from the School of Business, ECUST, presented their latest research progress.

After each presentation, the participants raised questions and shared their insights regarding the paper's model construction, empirical design, and research implications. This process not only promoted mutual communication and learning among faculty members from different research fields but also helped graduate students better understand and apply relevant research methods.
