On December 16, 2020, at the invitation of ECUST Financial Physics Research Center, Dr. Sandro Lera, Assistant Professor at Division of Information Systems &Management Engineering of SUSTech, delivered an academic report entitled "Prediction and prevention of disproportionally influential traders on social trading platforms”. The lecture was hosted by Professor JIANG Zhiqiang. Prof. ZHOU Weixing, some faculty and graduate students of the Financial Physics Research Center attended the lecture. 

Dr. Sandro Lera is also a visiting scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he was previously a Postdoc at the Human Dynamics lab, which is led by Alex Pentland. His research directions are mainly in complex systems, network science and quantitative finance, etc. Dr. Sandro Lera also has an industry background in algorithmic trading, developing quantitative trading strategies for several internationally renowned companies.
