The 1st China-Europe Cross-cultural and Business Exchange Graduate Program Successfully Started

On December 3, ECUST Sibiu Sino-European International Business School held the online opening ceremony of the one-year China-Europe Cross-cultural and Business Exchange Graduate Program (China-Europe Program for short). Ma Tieju, Dean of ECUST School of Business, Zhao Yan, Vice Dean, and Meng Lei, Executive Dean of ECUST Sibiu Sino-European International Business School, Dragoș Varga, Dean of the School of Literature, Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Silvia Florea, Romanian Dean of ECUST Sibiu Sino-European International Business School, Song Shaofeng, senior consultant of overseas projects and 18 members of China-Europe Program attended the opening ceremony. Li Caiyue, Program Director (overseas) of Sibiu Sino-European International Business School presided over the ceremony.

Online opening ceremony

The ceremony was strongly supported by China-invested enterprises in Romania. Zeng Xudong, President of Romania Association of Chinese Enterprises and consultant of Sibiu Sino-European International Business School, Hu Xiaojun, rotating president of Romania Association of Chinese Enterprises, and Zhang Li, General Manager of the Department of Finance of Bank of China (Central and Eastern Europe) Limited Bucharest Branch attended the online ceremony.

Ma Tieju delivered a speech

Ma Tieju, Dean of ECUST School of Business, delivered a speech. He said that the China-Europe Program was another fruitful achievement obtained by East China University of Science and Technology and Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu in the teaching cooperation field. He hoped that the students could have a deeper understanding of China's business environment, commercial law and financial market through learning and expressed his gratitude to Romania Association of Chinese Enterprises and Chinese enterprises in Romania for their strong support to the program.

Drago Varga delivered a speech

Drago Varga, Dean of the School of Literature, Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, said in his speech that he was glad to see that the cooperation between the two universities had stepped onto a new step and hoped that the two universities could continue to deepen cooperation and promote win-win development in the future.

Silvia Florea delivered a speech

Silvia Florea, Romanian Dean of ECUST Sibiu Sino-European International Business School, said the two universities had built a broader platform for China-Romania higher education through the cooperation in the ECUST Sibiu Sino-European International Business School. Then, Dean Silvia Florea read out the list of the first group of members and wished them success in their studies.

Zeng Xudong delivered a speech

Zeng Xudong, consultant of ECUST Sibiu Sino-European International Business School, said in his speech that the China-Europe Program between the two universities would certainly train more modern business talents for Romanian Chinese enterprises and local enterprises.

Hu Xiaojun delivered a speech

Hu Xiaojun, rotating president of Romania Association of Chinese Enterprises, said that Romania Association of Chinese Enterprises actively cooperated with ECUST Sibiu Sino-European International Business School and provided 4 scholarships for the China-Europe Program. Member institutions of the Association also actively recommend employees to join the program.

Denisa Costin made a speech on behalf of new students

Denisa Costin, Purchasing Project Manager of Bosch Automotive Co., Ltd. (Blaj), made a speech as a representative of the students who obtained a scholarship. She said that as a purchasing project manager of a multinational company, she often had the opportunity to communicate with representatives from Chinese companies. She thanked Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, East China University of Science and Technology and Romania Association of Chinese Enterprises for the scholarship and hoped that she could have a better understanding of China's business environment and corporate culture through training.

Stefan Florea made a speech on behalf of new students

Stefan Florea, graduate of the Chinese major of Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, made a speech on behalf of new students. After the opening ceremony, Huang Lujin, Professor at the School of Business, delivered the first lecture of the program's first course China Business Environment.

The China-Europe Cross-cultural and Business Exchange Graduate Program is a cooperative project between Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu and East China University of Science and Technology and also the first China-Europe Cross-cultural and Business Exchange Graduate Program developed by China and Romania. The program aims to cultivate senior global talents with cross-cultural business communication skills, who can promote the economic and trade development of Chinese and Central and Eastern European markets. The program includes 10 courses, such as Business Communication, Cross-cultural Communication, China Business Environment, China Commercial Law, Chinese History and Culture, E-commerce and European Management, China Financial Market, and China and the World Economy, which are taught by the faculty from the Chinese and Romanian universities.
