Romanian Chinese Enterprises Association Delegation Visits the School of Business

On 12 March 2024, Mr. ZENG Xudong, Chairman of the Romanian Chinese Enterprises Association, Mr. ZHOU Shengguo, President of Shanghai Chapter, Mr. WEI Changrong, Vice President of Shanghai Chapter, Mr. ZHOU Xiaohai, Secretary General of Shanghai Chapter, and Mr. Zhao Chao, Vice Secretary General of Zhejiang Chapter, paid a visit to the School. Prof. MA Tieju (Dean of the School of Business), Dr. PENG Zeyu (Vice Dean of the ECUST Sibiu Sino-European International Business School aka. ECUST-Sibiu SEIBS and Director of the International Exchange and Accreditation Office), Dr. MENG Lei (Executive Dean of the ECUST-Sibiu SEIBS), Prof. ZHAO Yan (Associate Professor of the Department of Economics), Ms. CHEN Lei (Director of the Centre for Career Development), Ms. PAN Xuejing (Deputy Director of the International Exchange and Accreditation Office) attended the meeting.

At the very beginning, Prof. MA Tieju extended a warm welcome to the delegation led by Mr. ZENG Xudong, and presented Mr. Zeng with a certificate of appointment as adjunct professor of ECUST School of Business.

Mr. ZENG Xudong said he was very honored to be appointed as adjunct professor of the School, and introduced his return visit to China. He mentioned that the Association hopes to help Chinese enterprises go overseas through its role as a bridge to help them understand the business environment in Central and Eastern Europe and better develop overseas markets. At the same time, the Association will continue to strengthen the cooperation with the School in the fields of talent cultivation, internship and employment, research and development, such as encouraging more Romanian students to study in China, inviting our teachers and students to study and exchange in Romania, so as to promote the exchanges between the two countries in aspects like culture, education and business.

Prof. MA Tieju introduced the University and the School in terms of history, student body and graduates, faculty, internationalisation, etc. He also introduced the operation of ECUST-Sibiu SEIBS and its future development plan. He thanked Mr ZENG Xudong and the Romanian Chinese Enterprises Association for their support since the establishment of ECUST-Sibiu SEIBS, and hoped that it will continue to strengthen the exchange and cooperation with the Association in the future, so as to help Chinese enterprises to go global, and at the same time to cultivate more overseas talents who appreciate and are friendly to local enterprises in China.

Subsequently, the participants had a full exchange of views on possible co-operation. Both sides agreed to empower each other to export high-quality Chinese educational resources to Central and Eastern European countries through mutual visits of faculty and students from the two countries, theme forums, customised training, etc. Together with the Association, more Chinese enterprises will benefit from this cooperation, and continue to promote the exchanges between the two countries in education and research, economic and trade cooperation, and other aspects.
