Introduction to the topic

China has steadily ranked as the world's second largest importer for 14 consecutive years, but there are still problems such as low per capital scale of imports, small import dependence, and low share of imports of consumer goods, and there is still much room for optimisation of import trade policies. If China's per capital GDP in 2035 will reach the level of medium developed countries, according to the 2035 China's total GDP is expected to reach 42 trillion U.S. dollars, if China's import dependence is located in about 20%, then, in 2035, China's annual imports are expected to scale may reach 8.4 trillion U.S. dollars or so. Later, China's implementation of the active expansion of imports policy has a large adjustment space, adjusting the structure of imported goods, actively expanding imports of consumer goods, and increasing the proportion of imports of consumer goods is one of the directions of future policy adjustment. In the face of the current complex international economic and political environment, how to do a good job in import trade, to ensure the high-quality development of the domestic economy, and to deal with the international political and economic relations, is a long-term need to pay great attention to the work in the future.
