East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) School of Business, has just received official notification from the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) that the EQUIS Accreditation Board voted to confer the EQUIS Accreditation label upon the School for a period of three years. This achievement marks a significant milestone, as the School has now secured three of the most authoritative international accreditations: AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System), and AMBA&BGA (The Association of MBAs and Business Graduates Association).

     So far, the triple crowned business schools account for less than 1% globally. With this achievement, ECUST School of Business is now the 15th institution in mainland China and the third in Shanghai to be triple-accredited.

    In January 2024, the EQUIS Peer Review Team paid a visit to ECUST. The team is comprised of Prof. Francisco Pérez-González, Dean of ITAM Business School; Prof. Wilfried Niessen, Dean of HEC Liège Management School at the University of Liege; Prof. XIE En, Dean of the School of Economics and Management, Tongji University; and Ms. Neslihan Tozge, Chair and Founder of Blue Ocean Consulting. The EQUIS Peer Review Team was warmly received by the ECUST President, Prof. XUAN Fuzhen, along with Vice Presidents Prof. WANG Huifeng and Prof. YAN Haifeng. The PR team and the ECUST representatives engaged in insightful discussions on various aspects of university management, teaching quality improvement, faculty development, research, student support, resource allocation, internationalization, industry connections, alumni relations, as well as ethics, responsibility, and sustainability.

     Looking ahead, the School will continue to pursue excellence, guided by the international accreditation standards, and to make more contributions to the global business education.
