From April 25th to 26th, 2024, the delegation led by Mrs. YUAN Zhujun, Director of Alumni Center of ECUST School of Business, reunited with Anhui alumni in the city of Hefei, Anhui Province for a two-day visit and study. They visited several prestigious Anhui institutions and enterprises with distinctive characteristics and wide impact, such as the School of Management of the University of Science and Technology of China (hereinafter referred to as "USTC School of Management"), Hefei Deming Electronics Company Limited, BOE Science and Technology Group Company Limited, KU Silicon Valley, and Western Anhui College. This visit aims to strengthen the exchange and cooperation with local universities, promote the interaction among Anhui alumni to better understand their needs, and grasp the growth dynamics of alumni enterprises.

Visit to USTC School of Management 

On April 25th, 2024, Mr. LING Liuyi, Director of the Alumni Office of USTC School of Management and other colleagues warmly received the delegation. Both sides exchanged their rich experiences in alumni activities, donation management and resource integration. Mr. LING Liuyi pointed out that the two schools are located in the Yangtze River Delta region and are of similar disciplinary background, so they share a lot similarities in alumni related work. Mrs. YUAN Zhujun introduced the innovative and diversified alumni activities of the School.

Visit to Alumni Enterprises, Hefei Deming Electronics Co.

On the same day, the delegation arrived at Hefei Deming Electronics Co., Ltd, a high-tech enterprise focusing on the research, development, production and market operation of intelligent high-end medical equipment with minimally invasive surgery as its core. Its Anhui general manager is the School’s alumnus named LIU Jin, as well as Hefei alumni Zhang Xuenong, Xi Yue, Wang Shuangguo, and Class of 2024 freshman Zhang Yi'an warmly received the delegation of the Business School. They visited Deming Electronics Smart Showroom together. Liu Jin introduced in detail the main products and development status of the company, as well as the outstanding achievements of alumni enterprises in the field of science and technology innovation.

Visit to BOE and KU Silicon Valley

On the morning of 26th, 2024, the delegation visited BOE, a world-renowned high-tech enterprise, and visited its advanced showroom and highly automated workshop. Afterwards, the group visited the Silicon Valley of the University of Science and Technology (UST) under the guidance of alumnus Mr. LUO Zhiming, feeling the strong atmosphere of innovation and entrepreneurship there, and further understanding Hefei's strategic layout and profound development potential.

Reunion with Distinguished Alumni in Western Anhui College

On the afternoon of 26th, alumni of the School went to West Anhui College to visit Yuan Weihai, Chair of the School Council of West Anhui College and alumnus of Class 85. The two sides exchanged views on the current situation and challenges of higher education, the role of alumni resources in the development of local institutions, and provided new ideas to promote the sharing of educational resources and collaborative development.

Through this journey, the School better understands the various needs of alumni in Hefei area, and broadened the vision and path of university-enterprise cooperation. In the future, the School will continue to build a broader platform for alumni exchange and cooperation.
