On May 19th, 2024, the course named Financial Markets in China offered by Dr. MENG Lei in the one-year graduate program on Sino-European Intercultural and Business Communication from 2023 to 2024, ECUST Sibiu Sino-European International Business School has concluded successfully. This is the last course to be taught by the Chinese side in the program's spring 2024 semester, with the remaining four courses being China's Business Environment, Chinese History and Culture, China and the World Economy, and Chinese Business Law.

During the class, Dr. MENG taught the participants about the characteristics and application cases of China's financial markets, including China's financial system, China's stock market, China's bond market, and the internationalization of the Chinese currency (RMB). Participants made group reports around how to help business development through financial markets. The report projects included establishing a solar farm in China to promote renewable energy and environmental sustainability; opening a high-end bakery to provide fresh baked products and promote community employment; creating a decentralized platform to promote green investment in environmental protection projects by using blockchain technology; and combining traditional and modern consumer demand to promote the Eastern European bakery culture to the Chinese market.

After the course, the participants expressed their gratitude to the faculty team of ECUST Sibiu Sino-European International Business School, as well as their expectation of applying the knowledge gained to their own studies and work in the future.
