
From June 9th to 11th, 2024, European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) held its 2024 annual conference in Bologna, Italy. The conference was organized by EFMD and hosted by the University of Bologna, attracting over 600 representatives from academic institutions and organizations worldwide. Ms. PAN XueJing, Deputy Director of the International Exchange and Accreditation Office of ECUST School of Business, and Ms. XU Tingting, Director of the Teaching and Thesis affairs,Professional Master Programs Office, participated in the conference.
This conference featured five keynote speeches and ten parallel sessions to explore hot topics such as the impact of globalization, collaborative research, innovative leadership, and digital strategy. Matteo Lepore, Mayor of Bologna, Giovanni Molari, President of the University of Bologna, and Eric Cornuel, President of EFMD, delivered welcome speeches. Benedetto Vigna, CEO of Ferrari, Kevin Scott, Chief Technology Officer of Microsoft, and numerous deans of globally renowned business schools shared keynote speeches. In addition, Rebecca Taylor, Vice Chair of EFMD, presented the EFMD financial and activity reports to all participants.
At the certification ceremony held on June 10th, EFMD President Eric Cornuel and EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) Director Alfons Sauquet presented the EQUIS accreditation certificate to the School’s representatives. Eric Cornuel and Alfons Sauquet had a cordial exchange with the School’s representatives, highly affirmed the School’s dedicated work and educational quality, and warmly congratulated the School on obtaining the EQUIS accreditation. In addition, the School's representatives also had in-depth exchanges and discussions with representatives from business schools at home and abroad on talent cultivation, teaching innovation, and international cooperation in business schools.
The 2024 EFMD Annual Conference provided the School with a valuable platform to gain insights into the trends of international education accreditation, deepened the School’s communication and mutual understanding with the EFMD organization, and motivated the School to continuously improve the quality of business education. At the same time, through in-depth exchanges with top global business schools, it has also laid the foundation for the School to further expand international cooperation.
