
On June 29th, 2024, the "Generative AI Empowering Business Innovation" themed forum, co-hosted by the School of Business and Kukeduo, was successfully held at ECUST. This forum focused on hot topics in the current fields of technology and business, inviting pioneers from various industries and well-known scholars from Business Schools for in-depth exchanges.
Prof. JIANG Zhiqiang, Vice Chair of the School Council, extended a warm welcome to the guests in his speech. He emphasized that generative AI is profoundly changing the business world at an unprecedented speed, and the purpose of holding this forum is to explore the innovative opportunities brought about by this transformation. He cited the concept that "innovation is the primary driving force for development," encouraging everyone to actively embrace innovation and jointly open a new chapter in business development.
Prof. Hou Limin, Chair of the School Council, presented the appointment certificates to the newly hired course professors. Mr. HAN Fei, General Manager of Alibaba Cloud's Shanghai Regional Government and Enterprise Business Division, and Mr. HAN Zhaoxiang, Deputy General Manager and Chief Architect of Shanghai Electric Group's Nanyang Wanbang, accepted the appointments.
Mr.HAN Fei, in his presentation titled "The Capabilities and Application Value of the ‘Tongyi Qianwen' Large Model," delved deeply into the capabilities and value of the Tongyi Qianwen large model. He expressed great anticipation for the future development of AI technology and firmly believes that with continuous technological advancements and the expansion of application scenarios, Tongyi Qianwen will continue to unleash significant value. The CEO of Kukeduo Mr.HAO Xianwei delivered a report titled "Private Domain AI: Fueling Business Customer Acquisition, Traffic Guidance, and Retention for Repurchase," thoroughly exploring the commercial value of private domain AI. He also introduced innovative applications of private domain AI in marketing. He firmly believes that with the continuous advancement of technology, private domain AI will play an increasingly crucial role in business innovation, propelling the entire industry forward. He encourages enterprises to actively embrace and apply private domain AI technology to achieve sustained growth and competitive advantage.
Shanghai Electric Group's Nanyang Wanbang Deputy General Manager and Chief Architect Mr. HAN Zhaoxiang, in his thematic sharing titled "Building the Foundation of Data, Endowing the Power of Intelligence: Urban Digital Transformation and the Integration of Public Data Construction and Operation," conducted an in-depth analysis of the "2+3+X" overall framework for Shanghai's urban digital transformation. He also put forward a series of insightful suggestions for the future of the generative artificial intelligence industry.
Pukang Group Vice President Mr. QIN Ziyi shared insights on the topic of "How AIGC Can Empower Professionals to Enhance Competitiveness," providing an in-depth analysis of the significant impact of Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC) technology on the competitiveness of professionals in the workplace. He mentioned that with the continuous development of AI technology, AI has been able to integrate into workflows at a high frequency and with high efficiency, collaborating with humans to complete a range of complex tasks.
Dr. DONG Shuang, faculty member of the School, chaired the forum and provided a detailed introduction to the Master of Engineering Management (MEM) program at East China University of Science and Technology.
In the roundtable discussion segment, Mr. HAN Fei, Mr. HAO Xianwei, Mr. Gu Qi, the director of the digital center of a top pharmaceutical company, and Mr. CHEN Yong, the East China Sales Director of Cytiva (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., engaged in an in-depth discussion around hot topics such as the impact of generative AI on traditional manufacturing, the opportunities that artificial intelligence brings to traditional manufacturing, new employment trends created by AI, and the integration of intelligent equipment and AI technology in the pharmaceutical industry.
