On October 14th, 2024, Prof. Michael Werner, from the Herbert Business School, University of Miami, visited the University for academic exchange. He was accompanied by his special assistant, Geng Yuebin, a faculty member from the Business Management Company of East China University of Science and Technology. Prof. Zhang Aimin from the Accounting Department of the School, Associate Prof. Hua Guiru, the head of the Accounting Department, and Ms. PAN Xuejing, Deputy Director of the International Office of the School participated in the reception and exchange.

In the morning, Prof. Werner went to the Fengxian Campus to introduce to the business school students the Master's programs in collaboration between the Herbert Business School of the University of Miami and ECUST School of Business. He provided detailed information about the application requirements, curriculum credits, and scholarship policies of the program, and shared with the students his unique experiences studying in the United States. He emphasized that studying in the U.S. would not only broaden the students' international perspectives but also enhance their competitiveness in the future job market. During the Q&A session, he patiently answered the students' questions, demonstrating the University of Miami's commitment to educational quality and student support.

Following the presentation, Prof. Werner also engaged in academic exchanges and discussions with Prof. Zhang Aimin and Associate Prof. Hua Guiru.

In the afternoon, Prof. Werner went to the Xuhui Campus to have an in-depth exchange with the International Office of the School about the current operation of the existing cooperative programs and explored more possibilities for future cooperation.

This exchange not only deepened mutual understanding between both sides but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation.
