On March 25th, 2025, Elsevier officially released the 2024 "Highly Cited Chinese Researchers" list. Professors Zhou Weixing and Jiang Zhiqiang from the Business School of East China University of Science and Technology were once again selected for the list in the fields of "Mathematics" and "Management Science and Engineering," respectively.

    The Elsevier "Highly Cited Chinese Researchers" list is based on the Scopus database, a globally authoritative citation and indexing database. It employs multiple indicators to systematically present the research contributions and innovative value of Chinese scholars in their respective disciplines. First launched in 2015, this is the 11th edition of the list, which has garnered significant attention from media and scholars both in China and internationally. The 2024 list includes a total of 6,388 researchers from 547 universities, enterprises, and research institutions, covering 83 first-level disciplines across 10 major academic fields recognized by the Ministry of Education.
