Closing Ceremony of UNSW Business School's Study Tour is Successfully Held

On September 12th, the Closing Ceremony of the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Business School's Digital Economy Study Tour to Shanghai, co-hosted by UNSW, East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST), and Kanhai Study Tour (an Australia-China science, technology and culture exchange platform), was successfully held at ECUST's School of Business. Attendees of the ceremony included HAN Liu, Deputy Director of Overseas Friendship Association of Shanghai Municipality; XU Jie, Director of African and Oceanian Affairs Division, Shanghai People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; PAN Shumin, Vice President of Overseas Friendship Association of Xuhui District; SHEN Haitao, Vice chair of the University Council; and BIAN Jun, Director of Sydney Shanghai Business Association.

Subsequently, members of the study tour group presented their learning outcomes and shared their insights from the tour. They commented that the activity allowed them to experience the development and strong vitality of China's digital economy and deepened their understanding of the global trends in the digital economy.


In his speech, SHEN Haitao extended a warm welcome to the leaders, guests, and faculty and students of the study tour group. He noted that in the current era of digitalization and intelligentization, China-Australia relations are at a new historical starting point. The event will further promote exchanges between the two universities, and he expressed the hope that ECUST will establish a deeper cooperative relationship with UNSW in the future. In addition, he looked forward to the students of the study tour achieving academic success and contributing to advancing China and Australia into a new era of digital economy and informatization at an early date.

Associate Professor GUO Zixiu from UNSW Business School, the leading teacher of the study tour group, shared her remarks. She sincerely thanked the relevant departments of Shanghai and ECUST for their strong support for the study tour. She stated that through this activity, the students not only gained an in-depth understanding of Shanghai's development achievements in the field of digital economy but also personally experienced the unique charm of Chinese culture.
