On the March 23rd, Dr. GAO Anyu from the Executive Education Center of Cambridge Judge Business School was invited by the Digital Teaching Center of ECUST School of Business to share his practical experience in AI teaching with the faculty members. More than ten faculty members from various departments of the School attended the sharing session, which was hosted by Dr. PENG Zeyu, Director of the Digital Teaching Center of the School.

    Dr. GAO Anyu first sorted out the core pain points of paper-based case teaching in professional degree education and executive education, namely the lack of engagement in learning experience and the difficulty in truly reproducing business scenarios. Based on this, Dr. GAO shared how Cambridge Judge Business School has developed a scenario simulation system based on AI agent dialogue in response to these two pain points and how the system empowers teaching practice.

    This AI case teaching system of Cambridge Judge Business School endows stakeholders in cases with corresponding characteristics and role-specific knowledge. Each student obtains clues to solve case problems by communicating with these simulated stakeholders. In this process, each student will get different clues due to differences in dialogue modes and questioning abilities. On this basis, students move on to the group discussion session, where they form answers to the cases through group discussion based on the clues obtained by each member. They can also further verify and interact with the simulated stakeholders on the group's answers to refine them. Finally, the whole class conducts presentations, exchanges and discussions, with teachers further refining and summarizing the key points. The teaching practice of Cambridge Judge Business School shows that this AI case teaching system can effectively enhance student engagement and strengthen interactivity. It is capable of fully capturing learning data and delivering large-scale personalized feedback, which largely overcomes the limitations of traditional paper-based case teaching.

  At the end of the sharing session, Dr. GAO Anyu introduced other AI-related courses under development by the Cambridge team and invited faculty members from the School to collaborate on the development of relevant courses. Faculty from the School had an in-depth exchange with Dr. GAO Anyu on issues such as the application details of this AI case teaching system, AI-empowered teaching of leadership, innovation and entrepreneurship courses, and the development of AI teaching platforms.
