On June 1st, 2026, Prof. XU Jingjing, Dean of the School of Business, Education and Law at the University of Huddersfield, together with Ms. Raluca Pasare, East Asia Manager of the School’s International Office, visited the School. The meeting was attended by Prof. FAN Tijun, Dean of the School of Business, Ms. TANG Jimin, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Dr. PENG Zeyu, Director of the School’s International Office, and Ms. LIU Xianshan, Executive Director of the Professional Degree Education Center.

   FAN Tijun extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation. He stated that East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) and the University of Huddersfield share a long history and solid foundation of cooperation. Since the two universities signed an agreement to jointly establish the Confucius Institute for Science, Technology and Innovation at the University of Huddersfield in 2019, bilateral collaboration has deepened continuously and yielded abundant outcomes.

    Prof. XU Jingjing expressed sincere gratitude for the warm reception. She remarked that ECUST stands as a key partner of the University of Huddersfield. The two institutions have carried out fruitful cooperation covering high-level strategic visits and the operation of the Confucius Institute, and she looked forward to jointly developing more high-standard collaborative programs in the future.

    Following the opening remarks, both sides held in-depth discussions on faculty research collaboration, student exchange programs and Sino-foreign cooperative education.
