On August 17th, the opening ceremony of the 2026 iBEST Summer School was held in Lecture Hall 406. Faculty and student representatives from Singapore Institute of Technology and ICN Business School of France attended the event.
At the opening ceremony, Dr. PENG Zeyu, Director of the International Office, delivered a welcome address. He extended a warm welcome to international participants travelling from afar. He noted that adhering to the educational philosophy of “to integrate Business with Engineering, Science and Technology, and to nurture managerial talents with advanced knowledge and practical ability”, the iBEST Summer School deeply integrates multidisciplinary knowledge of business, engineering and technology. It is committed to cultivating international interdisciplinary talents with interdisciplinary vision and practical problem-solving capabilities.
Professor LEE Kwan-Hui from Singapore Institute of Technology spoke on behalf of partner institutions. She expressed gratitude to the School for its meticulous organization and thoughtful arrangements, and voiced earnest expectations for further deepening exchanges and cooperation between the two universities in the future.
Subsequently, a commemorative badge awarding ceremony took place on site. Student representatives came onstage to receive commemorative badges symbolizing honour and responsibility. After the ceremony, all guests and participants took a group photo in front of the main entrance on the first floor of the School building.
Two programs, namely the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Track and the Artificial Intelligence Track, are offered for this year's iBEST Summer School, attracting around 70 international students. Over the two-week programme, participants will take part in diverse activities including classroom sessions, corporate visits and cultural experiences. They will gain in-depth insights into China's business landscape and cultural charm for a rewarding and memorable academic and cultural journey.
