On September 11th, the closing ceremony for the UNSW Business School Digital Economy Shanghai Study Tour, co-hosted by UNSW Sydney, East China University of Science and Technology, and Kanhai Study Tour (an Australia-China science, technology and culture exchange platform), was successfully held at the School. Xia Yufeng, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Overseas Friendship Association; Chen Men, Secretary-General of the Lujiazui Financial City Foundation; Prof. Li Tao, Vice Chair of ECUST University Council; and Bian Jun, President of the Shanghai Chamber of Commerce in Sydney, Australia, attended the closing ceremony.

      In his address, Li Tao extended a warm welcome to the visiting leaders, distinguished guests, and faculty-student members of the study tour. He noted that the world is witnessing scientific-technological and industrial transformation driven by digitalization and intelligent upgrading. The two universities from China and Australia enjoy broad prospects for cooperation in science and innovation, education, humanities, digital economy and other fields. He encouraged students on the study tour to broaden their global vision and appreciate the charm of diverse cultures through mutual learning and exchanges. He also expressed his hope that the students would take this Shanghai trip as a new starting-point, build friendly bridges for youth exchanges between the two universities, and contribute youthful strength to win-win cooperation between the two countries in the digital era.

      Guo Zixiu expressed sincere gratitude to relevant Shanghai municipal authorities and ECUST for their support for this study-tour program. She remarked that throughout the program, students had visited multiple high-tech enterprises across Shanghai, gaining first-hand exposure to innovative practices and fruitful achievements within the digital-economy sector. Meanwhile, they experienced China's profound historical heritage and vibrant humanistic spirit, reaping rich and profound insights from the study tour.

      Subsequently, student participants delivered presentations on their learning outcomes and shared reflections from the tour. The students commented that the program allowed them to witness the vigorous dynamism of China's digital economy up close, further broadening their global perspectives and fostering a more multi-faceted, in-depth understanding of the global development landscape of the digital economy.
