Prof. Jun Tu is a Professor of Finance at the Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and a Professor at the Bank of China Institute of Technology and Finance. He serves as a doctoral supervisor and is a recipient of the National High-Level Talent Program. Professor Tu obtained his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Washington in 2004 and joined the Lee Kong Chian School of Business at Singapore Management University the same year. His research spans behavioral finance, fintech, text analysis and machine learning, financial econometrics, asset pricing, investor sentiment, media and capital markets, asset return forecasting, portfolio management, and corporate finance. Professor Tu has received multiple research awards, including the Review of Financial Studies' Most Read Paper and Most Cited Paper Awards for 2015–2016, the Lee Foundation Fellowship for Research Excellence, the Sing Lun Fellowship, the Pacific Basin Finance Journal Prize (First Prize), and the University of Washington Research Fellowship. Professor Tu has published numerous academic papers in top-tier international journals, including the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and Management Science. Professor Tu's research has also been featured in leading industry publications such as The CFA Digest, Citibank's Academic Research Digest, and UBS's Academic Research Digest. Professor Tu Jun concurrently serves as Director of the Asian Asset Securitization Management Research Center (2012–2014), Associate Editor of the Journal of Banking and Finance (2025–), Associate Editor of the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control (2018–), Associate Editor of China Finance Review International (2021–), and Field Editor for Emerging Markets Finance and Trade (SSCI) (2013–present).
