Synopsis:

  In this talk, Prof. Xin Luo will first analyze and introduce the publication characteristics of several top international journals in the field of management (UTD-24) from the dual perspectives of authors and journal editorial board members. Then, he will summarize and review his own research work published in UTD-24 journals in the last three years (ISR 2021, ISR 2022, JOM 2022, POM 2023). Finally, he will share with you what are the challenges encountered in the process of publishing papers in top-tier journals, taking into account his top-tier publication experience? How were they solved? and his own journey. 

Introduction to the Lecturer:

  Dr. Xin “Robert” Luo is currently a Board of Trustees Chair Professor, tenured full professor of Management Information Systems, Special Assistant to the Dean, and Director of International Programs at the Anderson School of Management, University of New Mexico. His research interests include information systems security management, privacy protection, electronic/mobile commerce, cross-cultural information management, and innovative technologies related to strategic decision-making and development (e.g., blockchain, artificial intelligence, human-computer interaction, cloud computing, green IS, e-healthcare, social networking, etc.). His research work has been published in Information Systems Research, Journal of Operations Management, Production and Operations management top journals in management UTD-24, especially during 2021-2023. He has published 9 academic papers in six major journals in the field of Information Systems (ISR, MISQ, JMIS, JAIS, EJIS, ISJ), which is ranked 8th globally.He is currently serving as the Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Accounting and Information Management (SClMago Q1), Editor-in-Chief of MIS Quarterly, Editor-in-Chief of MIS Quarterly, Editor-in-Chief of MIS Journal, and Editor-in-Chief of MIS Quarterly. He is currently serving as Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Accounting and Information Management (SClMago Q1), Guest Associate Editor of MIS Quarterly, and Editorial Board Member of various journals such as ISR, JMIS, JAIS, DSS, and IM.
