Professor Lu Zhen is Dean of the School of Management, Second-Class Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor at Shanghai University, Chairman of the University's Economics and Management Degree Assessment Sub-committee, and a recipient of the Special Government Allowance of the State Council. He studied at Shanghai Jiao Tong University from 1999 to 2008, receiving his Bachelor's degree in 2003 and Ph.D. in 2008. After graduation, he conducted postdoctoral research at the National University of Singapore for over two years. He joined the School of Management at Shanghai University as a Lecturer in March 2011, and was promoted to Associate Professor in October 2011 and Professor in November 2012, with exceptional promotions. He became Dean of the School of Management in November 2019. In recent years, he has published 284 papers in renowned domestic and international journals such as Journal of Management Sciences in China, Operations Research, Transportation Science, Production and Operations Management, and IISE Transactions (including 250 as first or corresponding author). According to Google Scholar, his papers have been cited 10,481 times with an H-index of 55. He has consecutively led seven national-level projects: the National Natural Science Foundation Young Scientist Program (2011), Youth Program (2014), General Program (2016), Key Program (2018), Young A Program (2020), International Cooperation Program (2022), and Major Project (2023). All completed projects received performance evaluations of "Excellent" or "Excellent-to-be." His research achievements have earned, as sole recipient, the Second Prize of the Ministry of Education's Natural Science Award, the Second Prize of Shanghai's Natural Science Award, the Second Prize of the Ministry of Education's Humanities and Social Sciences Award, and the First Prize of Shanghai's Outstanding Philosophy and Social Sciences Achievement Award; and as first recipient, the Third Prize of the Ministry of Education's Ninth Humanities and Social Sciences Award and the Second Prize of Shanghai's Outstanding Philosophy and Social Sciences Achievement Award. He serves as Associate Editor or Editorial Board Member for international journals including Transportation Science (A-level), Transportation Research Part B (A-level), Computers & Operations Research (B-level), and Journal of the Operational Research Society (B-level).
