ECUST School of Business held the 3rd International Import Trade Forum on November 6, 2020. This forum was co-organized by China Institute for WTO Studies, University of International Business and Economy, LEDECO Geneva and Lin-Gang Special Area-ECUST Research Institute of Free Trade Zone Innovation. This forum was held both online and offline at the same time. 

Opening Remark by Ms. DU Huifang, Chairman of University Council

This forum focused on "Global Trade and International Governance in a Changing Situation", highlighted the characteristics of international exchanges and cooperation, and discussed in depth the new pattern of import trade and world economic development, the development of China's free trade zone (Hong Kong), new trade and investment under the epidemic, "One Belt One Road" construction and sustainable development and other related issues. Mr. Yonov Frederick Agah, Deputy Director-General of WTO, Ms. Pamela Coke-Hamilton, Executive Director of the International Trade Centre, Mr. Wang Xinkui, Chairman of the Shanghai WTO Affairs Consultation Center, former Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Shanghai Committee, former Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, Mr. Chong Yuan, Chairman of the China Society for World Trade Organization Studies, former deputy international trade representative of the Ministry of Commerce, Mr. Robert Koopman, Chief Economist of the World Trade Organization, Ms. Marion Jansen, Director of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Mr. Wu Wei, the member of the Party Working Committee and full-time deputy director of the Administrative Committee of the Lingang New Area of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, Mr. Li Xie, deputy director of the Trade Remedy and Investigation Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, and others attended this forum. Nearly 300 representatives from government organizations, enterprises, universities, media, teachers and students from ECUST attended the forum offline, and the live broadcast received nearly 500,000 views.
